Corners Betting Explained
Bet on the number of corners in a match rather than the goals, using total lines, team totals or race markets.
How this market works
Corners betting works like goals betting, with a line such as over 9.5 total corners. You can also back a team's individual corner count, or a race market on which side reaches a given number first.
Playing style drives corner counts far more than quality does. Teams that cross constantly, press high and shoot from distance generate corners; patient possession sides that work central openings generate fewer. A dominant favourite chasing a goal late in a match is the classic corners-overs scenario.
Common corner markets
- Over 9.5 total corners at 1.85
- Home team over 5.5 corners at 1.95
- Race to 5 corners: home, away or neither
Best used for
- Wide, crossing-heavy teams
- Matches where one side will chase the game
- Punters who watch matches live and trade in-play
Watch out
Corner counts collapse when a favourite scores early and the match settles. Overs bets need the game state to stay competitive.
